Working to a tight deadline, a German sanitation and portable restroom provider requested the design, tooling and manufacturing of plastic parts for use in their latest product.

Having known Cox Wokingham Plastics for our bespoke and customer-first plastic manufacturing services, the company approached our team to produce parts in time for a trade show.

The challenge

As a company that continually develops their product range, the client planned to unveil a new portable restroom at a trade show in October.

To bring the product concept to life in time for the launch, a range of precision plastic parts were required.

This included a plastic backplate, designed to hold the water heater, light and electrical box to enable hot water handwashing.

However, with the tight turnaround from design to delivery, the company faced the challenge of securing the necessary components quickly enough for final assembly.

How we helped

At Cox Wokingham Plastics, we always strive to fully understand the needs of our clients and work towards their goals – no matter the challenge!

After meeting their team to discuss the initial steps of the project, we put together a quotation along with a CAD screen photograph for approval.

Conscious of the client’s deadline, we got to work on designing their tool straight away.

After this was signed off, we then produced and delivered five fully finished components in time to be exhibited at the trade show – meeting their time, design and quality expectations.

The result

Our goal is to solve manufacturing challenges – not just make plastic parts!

Working to the tight deadline, we successfully completed the project in just five working days, creating the bespoke tool and manufacturing the required plastic backplate parts for the launch of their new product.

Following the successful showcase at a major trade event, the client commended our service and has since returned to us with another request for quotation.
